TIP 1 Advance Planning
Regardless of how large or small your celebration should be, good advance planning is essential. Of course, you can take complete control of the planning yourself.
However, it becomes easier when you have someone at your side who is experienced with celebrations. Of course, you can utilize our experience as wedding planners and let us take care of everything for you.

TIP 2 Priorities and Focus
What matters most to you at your celebration? It doesn’t matter what others expect from you or how things are “normally done.”
Your celebration is all about you—whether it’s your birthday, your anniversary, or your wedding.
Is it important to you that your young guests are well taken care of? Or would you prefer a “child-free” celebration?
Consider what is most important to you at your celebration: What cannot be missing? What must definitely be taken into account? Set a focus, establish a priority, and then let’s get started.

TIP 3 The Right Service Providers
You have planned a first-class event and everything has been running smoothly so far. But what’s this? The food is cold and barely seasoned? The drinks don’t taste good and the DJ isn’t playing what he should?
Choosing service providers is, alongside choosing the location, one of the most important aspects of planning. Only those who have good service providers and can rely on them can truly enjoy their own celebration. Or do you want to constantly solve problems on your special day?

TIP 4 Plan B—One Step Ahead of the Weather
Rain on your wedding day? It can happen. Snow at a spring wedding? That has happened before…
But that’s not a problem at all—at least when you celebrate at our farm! We have all kinds of backup options that can be transformed in no time.
Then an outdoor wedding simply becomes a cozy barn wedding—we are prepared for everything
TIP 5 DIY—Yes, But…
Who doesn’t love them—DIY projects for weddings. We think they’re great too! However, for two reasons we usually advise against them:
- DIYs are usually quite cost-effective, but not necessarily quick to complete. If you definitely want to do DIYs for your celebration—for example, for the decorations—plan enough time.
- DIYs can be absolutely beautiful—but they can also go completely wrong & ultimately cause significant stress. Plan carefully whether and how you can implement DIYs.
Of course, you can implement DIYs at your celebration. They are usually a great eye-catcher and give your celebration your personal touch. Nevertheless, you should clearly think about what is really possible and what is not. As your planners, we are of course very happy to help you with this decision as well.
TIP 6 Trust Your Gut Feeling
You have planned something for your celebration, but now you have a strange gut feeling?
For example, you wanted to have the champagne reception outside, but the weather forecast doesn’t look good? Or you don’t feel quite comfortable with the menu or the schedule after all?
Definitely speak up and listen to your gut feeling! This little voice shows you when something is not in line with your wishes or when a preference has changed.
Better to make a last-minute change than to regret it later, right?
TIP 7 Keep an Eye on the Budget
The budget is a fundamental factor for most celebrations—especially for weddings. Therefore, it makes particular sense to keep the budget in view not only at the beginning but throughout the entire planning process.
We try to communicate our prices and changes in a completely transparent and open manner. This way, you won’t face any unpleasant surprises if you lose sight of the budget while planning.
We also recommend always obtaining a quote from your service providers and having it confirmed in writing.

TIP 8 Flexibility & Support
The most important principle when planning a celebration—no matter how large or small it may be: Stay as flexible as possible and get support where needed.
No one expects you to organize your celebration completely on your own. Especially not for a large wedding.

TIP 9 Time Together
When we are asked what tips we would give couples for their special day, this is one of our favorites:
Take time for yourselves. Schedule a photo shoot just for the two of you and let the experience sink in before the big party begins!
In our opinion, the best timing for this is during the aperitif directly after the ceremony. While your guests are mingling, enjoying delicious snacks and drinks, and exploring the farm, you can retreat in peace.
